15 Reasons Why You Should Bet On Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021

Cricket bettors around the world are always on the lookout for leagues that provide them with an opportunity to bet and make money. They want T20 leagues that provide the thrill of close matches.

Before placing your bet, you’d certainly want to know whether your favourite leading players are playing in the league or not. If the players you love aren’t even playing in a league, how will you get excitement by betting on it? Some of the leading cricketers from Pakistan and other countries are playing in PSL 2021 edition, including Mohammad Hafeez, James Faulkner, Babar Azam, Mohammad Amir, Martin Guptill, Wahab Riaz, Dale Steyn, Faf du Plessis, and Andre Russell. Apart from the experienced players, younger players like Qasim Akram and Hasan Ali are exciting talents to watch out for. Such a talented bunch of players provide ample scope for you to bet on.

Granted that it may not have the scale and the resources of the Indian Premier League (IPL), but for cricket lovers and bettors, it provides great entertainment every year. For example, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) T20’s 2021 edition will see 6 teams playing 34 matches overall, giving a lot of scope for punters to place their bets.
  3. A lot of action is yet to happen in PSL 2021. Of the 34 matches supposed to be played in the PSL 2021 edition, 14 were played in February and March, when the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) suspended the tournament due to COVID-19 related concerns. However, PCB later announced that the remaining 20 matches would most likely take place in The bettors will have a lot to bet on, as more than 50% matches of PSL 2021 are yet to happen.
  4. Plenty of thrilling encounters to make it interesting for bettors. There are plenty of thrilling matches every year in PSL that add to the excitement and drama for the bettors. Who can forget how Karachi Kings reached their maiden final in PSL 2020 by beating Multan Sultans? After 40 overs of play, scores of both the teams were tied at 141. There was a lot of drama before that as well when Karachi Kings’ skipper Imaz Wasim hit a last-minute boundary to tie the scores. For bettors, it provides ample opportunity to wager as odds change dramatically in such matches.
  5. Online PSL betting is growing in and out of India. One of the major reasons why people bet on PSL matches is that it provides them entertainment with discretion and privacy. This is what online sites like Fun88 provide to bettors, and that’s why online betting on PSL is growing in and out of India.
  6. Betting sites registered outside of India provide a viable way to place your bets. Since Indian law doesn’t allow anyone to run a gambling business within India, we won’t advise you to gamble with betting sites registered in India. However, you can place your bets with websites like Fun88, which are based out of India. While selecting betting sites registered out of India, do check whether they are licensed with a reputed authority or not. You can bet on the likely match-winner, top scorer, leading wicket-taker, etc. At the same time, you can also bet on who will win the coin toss. Hardly any card game can provide you with the variety and number of options that Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021 can provide. And, for options like the winner of the coin toss, you don’t even have to know anything about cricket, as it’s a matter of pure chance.

5 All-Rounder Players You Need To Watch Out (Or Place A Bet) For In The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021 Teams

As cricket lovers and bettors, we all love all-rounder players because they can win a match either with a ball or a bat in their hand. It’s almost like having two players in one, and some of them are good fielders as well.

Granted that we don’t have the likes of Imran Khan, Kapil Dev, and Ian Botham as all-rounders in international cricket, but, there are quite a few players in the Pakistan Super League (2021) T20 tournament who are terrific sportsmen as a bowler and a batsman.

As the rest of the PSL 2021 begins from June 1 2021, we, at Fun88, think you should watch out for these players while placing your bets online.

Here are the all-rounders who can make a difference in the PSL 2021 T20 cricket tournament:

  1. Imad Wasim (Karachi Kings)
Imad Wasim Imad Wasim is not only the captain of Karachi Kings, but he’s also an international level all-rounder. He has represented his country, Pakistan, in ODIs (one-day-internationals) and also T-20 matches. Imad is a talented middle-order batsman. He’s also capable of bowling left-arm spin, which has often troubled the opposing team’s batsmen. Although he’s a good all-rounder in all formats of the game, his talent particularly shines in T-20 matches. That’s the reason he has played in the Caribbean Premier League, Melbourne Renegades in Big Bash League, Bangladesh Premier League, apart from regularly playing and captaining Karachi Kings.

In PSL, he has often bamboozled batsmen with his spinning deliveries and also with those which unexpectedly don’t turn. He has taken 32 wickets in 53 matches at an average of 34.53 between 2016 and 2021 for Karachi Kings. In the same time-frame, he has scored 473 runs in 53 matches at an average of 18.19. Imad is more than a handy batsman. Remember how he scored 50 runs off just 29 deliveries against Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL’s 2020 edition? Make sure to vouch for this thunderbolt of a player while betting in this season of PSL.

  2. Qasim Akram (Karachi Kings)
Qasim Akram At just 18 years of age, Qasim Akram is one of the youngest players in the PSL 2021 tournament. Qasim’s name reminds everyone of the legendary bowling all-rounder, Wasim Akram. But, as opposed to Wasim, Qasim is a right-hand batsman and a right-hand off-break bowler who has impressed many cricket-lovers with his performance in Under-19 and First-Class cricket.

In First-Class cricket, he has scored 389 runs in 14 innings at an impressive average of 35.36 and has taken 13 wickets as well. Naturally, the expectations from him are very high. At Fun88, we think Qasim is a young and super-talented cricketer. He’s a worthy addition to the list of impressive all-rounders in PSL, and you’d certainly like to focus on him while placing your bets.

  3. Andre Russell (Quetta Gladiators)
Andre Russell Russell is a globally recognized T-20 legend. In 2018, he scored a century in just 40 balls and took a hat-trick in the same match while playing in the Caribbean Premier League. Over the years, Russell has been a star-performer for the West Indies team and also in all the other T20 leagues he has participated in. Given his ability to turn around T-20 matches single-handedly, we, at Fun88, were very excited when Quetta Gladiators recently picked him up to play the rest of the PSL 2021, which is expected to begin from June 1.

Russell has earlier played for Multan Sultans in 2019, where his performance didn’t meet the standards we usually expect from him. He could manage to score only 50 runs for Multan Sultans and took only 1 wicket in 4 matches. But, how long can anyone keep a talent like Andre Russell from exploding? As an all-rounder, he’s still capable of doing wonders on a cricket field. At 33 years of age, he has a lot of cricket ahead of him. While placing your bets, we’d advise you to keep an eye on him.

  4. Hasan Ali (Islamabad United)
Hasan Ali Hasan Ali is a young bowling all-rounder. He has impressed everyone with his medium-pace bowling. In his overall T20 career, Hasan has taken 151 wickets in 112 matches at an impressive average of 20.37. As a batsman in T20 matches, he has scored 308 runs at an average of 11. His performance as a batsman needs improvement, which he has also acknowledged on a few occasions. Hasan has said that he wants to be the all-rounder that the Pakistan team is waiting for. If that were to happen, even his PSL career would get a boost.

At Fun88, we do think that Hasan has talent as a batsman, but he still needs to shine. As a bowler, he’s really effective, and his record speaks for itself. In PSL, Hasan has so far played only 4 matches in which he has taken 6 wickets and scored just 7 runs in 1 inning. At 26, Hasan is still very young, and we think he can shine as a capable batsman apart from being a very good bowler. Do watch out for him when you place your bets.

  5. Ben Cutting (Quetta Gladiators)
Ben Cutting Ben Cutting is a T-20 veteran who has played for the Australian national team and in the Indian Premier League (IPL). This tall, lanky Australian is capable of bowling medium-pace, which can trouble batsmen and pinch-hitting in T-20 matches. In the final of the IPL 2016 edition, Ben scored 39 off 15 deliveries and then took 2 wickets, which helped Sunrisers Hyderabad win the cup, and he was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match.

Playing for Quetta Gladiators, Ben has taken 9 wickets so far in 12 matches at an average of 27.44, and he has scored 195 runs at an average of 19.5. Ben might not have scored many runs, but he’s an effective lower-order batsman. For example, he scored 22 runs off just 12 deliveries against Islamabad United in 2020, which helped Quetta Gladiators win the match. At Fun88, we get very excited when Ben comes to either bat or bowl, and we think you should watch out for his performance while betting on PSL 2021.

We’ve listed the all-rounder that we are excited about, but we’ll also suggest you do your own research by visiting websites like ESPN cricinfo. There’s a wealth of data on this link about PSL since the beginning of the PSL league

Typically, PSL matches are held in February and March. This year, too, 14 matches were played in February and March. But, as the COVID-19 cases increased and some of the players and support staff also contracted the virus, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) suspended the tournament.

Since then, the PCB has announced its intention to reschedule the rest of the 20 matches in June. On April 11, 2021, the board said that the remaining matches were expected to start from June 01, 2021.

Subsequently, the PCB also talked to the Emirates Cricket Board with the objective of resuming the tournament in the UAE.

Prior to this, the authorities had finalized Karachi as the venue for all the remaining matches of the PSL 2021. But, the experience of COVID-19 in Karachi has convinced the board to move the tournament out of Pakistan.

It wouldn’t be the first time that PSL cricket matches would be held outside of Pakistan. For example, during PSL 2019, most matches were held in Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi. In fact, PSL 2020 was the only season when all the matches were held in Pakistan.

It shows that the PCB does have experience in organizing the tournament outside of Pakistan. Some of the reports have also suggested that the board may move the tournament to Sri Lanka if the UAE doesn’t allow it.

As cricket and betting lovers, we hope PSL matches begin in June, but yes, the organizers will have to consider factors like the spread of COVID-19, players’ safety, logistical issues, etc. We, at Fun88, are ready to provide you with amazing offers, bonuses, prizes, and betting tips to make it super exciting for you to wager on PSL matches.

Betting Tips To Excel When Placing A Bet On PSL 2021 Matches:

  1. Focus on key players but know the rest of the lineup as well. Even though cricket is a team sport, often a few key players tilt the entire team’s performance in one direction. Consider the example of Babar Azam, who had a fantastic run in PSL 2020 by scoring 473 runs and eventually helping his team ‘Karachi Kings’ lift the cup for the first time. By focusing on players like Azam, you’d be able to guess the result of a match intelligently. Some of the other key players to watch out for in PSL 2021 are: Sharjeel Khan, Sherfane Rutherford, David Miller, Hasan Ali, and Mohammad Rizwan. Having said that, we’d always advise you to have a thorough knowledge of the entire lineups as well.
  2. Thoroughly check betting odds across various sites. Without a complete understanding of how odds work and a thorough analysis of odds offered by various websites, you can’t succeed as a bettor. Odds tell you how much you stand to lose or win depending upon the outcome. Odds also tell you how much margin you’ll be paying to the betting site. At Fun88, we offer some of the most competitive and fair odds in the trade. We also offer several payment options, a quick withdrawal process, and 24*7 customer support.
  3. Consider bonuses, offers, rewards, & cashbacks. Many betting sites offer bonuses, offers, rewards, cashbacks, lucky draws, and other promotional schemes, which can help you make a lot of money. You should never select a cricket betting site without considering such offers because your payoff will depend upon all these things eventually.
  4. Check past performances of teams. As a bettor, you have to be aware of the past performances of all the teams contesting. For example, Karachi Kings won the PSL in 2020. Will they win PSL 2021 too? Karachi Kings has retained most of its squad, including star players like Babar Azam, so the chances are high that they will do well. Lahore Qalandars, who were runners-up in PSL 2020, have a talented team in PSL 2021 as well, including players like Shaheen Shah Afridi, Ben Dunk, Zeeshan Ashraf, and many others. Peshawar Zalmi has been consistent over the years, having won PSL in 2017 and finished as runners-up in 2018 and 2019.

As we get closer to the resumption of PSL, we, at Fun88, will provide you with exciting tips, offers, rewards, and competitive odds to make betting on PSL a genuinely rewarding experience for you. So, what are you waiting for! Register at Fun88 by clicking here and begin your betting journey.
